    Vibration or Soft

    With the black inserts, there was heavy vibrations in the cockpit (since this was fitted to a Cooper SD), so decided to use them without the black inserts and they were not that much stiffer than the original. The engine still rocks a bit when on power or even moving off from stationary. This was coupled with the upper engine mount inserts too.

    Recently fitted the lower engine mount bush and it has transformed the responsiveness of the engine. Very urgent feeling to it now and vibrations at idle are quite mild. Would definitely recommend for anyone who has either a high mileage mini or has had a remap, the extra torque ruined my factory bush and the engine was quite loose causing problems with gear changes as the selector cables flexed.. this eventually led to the failure of the selector stack and a new gearbox.. learn from my mistake and upgrade your bushes!
